Insurance plan helps participant ‘fight’ costs of healthcare
Louise Ronald participates in the Baby Boomer Fight Club, which is covered under her Reid Health Alliance Medicare Advantage plan.
Louise Ronald wanted an insurance plan that was good for Reid Health services, including a "fight club" she joined. She needed her prescriptions to be affordable. And she wanted dental and vision checkups covered.
The Reid Health Alliance Medicare Advantage plan was the perfect fit. "It was a significantly better value. It covers everything I need as long as I'm living here. I have a plan that lets me choose to go out of network, but so far I haven't needed to do that," says the retired journalist and writer.
The switch cut her
monthly payment in half from what she paid with a previous plan. She has small
co-pays for doctor visits. All her prescriptions are zero co-pay. And the plan
covers her Baby Boomer Fight Club membership - something she's done for years.
"It's a significantly
better value. It addresses all my health needs at a very reasonable rate,"
Ronald says. "I have a Reid Health exercise program, a Reid Health doctor and
get my labs done at Reid. This offers an affordable way for me to maintain
She also has coverage
for $200 a year to help with dental cleanings and eye exams.
"Reid Health Alliance Medicare
Advantage covers the majority of my regular medical expenses." She also
appreciates having local contacts. "I can talk directly to a human being when I
have questions about coverage. Everyone in the office has been very helpful."
