He is a top notch Dr and truly does care about his patients
Dr. Duncan is very personable and it feels like he truly cares.
I couldn't have been more pleased with the care I received.
They need to make sure the patient is completely checked in before moving on to the next patient. I waited for over an hr in the waiting room. When I asked when I was going to be seen she apologized that she forgot to check me in. That is unacceptable. Plus if you realize a patient has been sitting there for a long time inquire about. It should not be the patients job to ask why they are waiting so long. Keep patients informed of what is going on.
He is trying to very hard to get me back on trsck
My only issue is my prescriptions were not called in. I had to follow up on them.
Everything was great
Dr. Duncan was nothing less than amazing! He was very thorough~ took his time to sit down and talk to you about care options~ and ultimately gave the pt the final choice of care/testing.
Dr. Duncan was called in on a Sunday for my daughter's emergency surgery. The ER Dr's originally though it was apendacitis~ but it was infact a cyst in her ovary that twisted on itself. He came into the waiting room to explaine what was going on~ and the type of surgery he was going to do (not much differed from the original surgery as far as the type) just the part. He was VERY professional and comforting when explaining it to me. She's 12~ and besides having tubes put in her ears~ she has never had to be sedated or operated on. It's scary when I'm sitting there all by myself since it was a Sunday and no one else was there. The ENTIRE staff that got called in that day for my daughter were amazing. Definitely wasn't expected since I have only lived here 6 years~ and read so many complaints about Reid itself. Everyone went above beyond~ not just for my daughter~ but myself as well. I was introduced to anyone who helped care for my daughter throughout the entire process.
After seeing Dr Fagen it was doubtful I would ever return. I had a conversation with my primary doctor and he recommended Dr Duncan. I am very pleased with him.
The first thing I noticed about Dr. Duncan was his friendly face. I was very nervous for my appointment and he immediately made me feel a sense of relief. He was compassionate and sincere~ and addressed all of my questions and concerns with care. I look forward to continuing my care with him.
Dr Duncan is awesome made me feel very comfortable and took his time. Already recommended he to several others
Dr. Duncan has been the best OB I've ever had! I'm finally getting answers on a condition that I've been diagnosed with for over 10 years and actually getting treated! Dr. Duncan and his staff are always so nice. I'm definitely happy with all my care!
The doctor was really nice and talked to me and explained what was going on and what my treatment would be . And the nurse the checked me in was awesome . I normally go to Richmond for treatment but I really like your Hagerstown office I will be coming there from now on . ??????
Dr Duncan was great!!!
Dr. Duncan is the best!!
I had scheduled this appointment and a follow-up appointment earlier in March. I had to call the office and ask to re-schedule my follow-up appointment but the staff member canceled my 3/19 appointment as well as the follow-up visit by mistake. I arrived at the Hagerstown office on 3/19 unaware that they did not have me schuleded. The doctor and staff were very gracious and worked me in immediately. Thank you!
Dr Duncan is one of the nicest doctors I have Ever met. I have a surgery coming up and he explained everything precisely. He was thorough & kept asking if i has any questions at all.. he gave me professional advice and was warm and caring at the same time! He was so sweet when i was embarrassed of my postpartum tummy he reassured me to not worry about it at all ~ telling that's how it is supposed to look after you've just had a baby! Kristi James is amazing too! She delivered both of my children and made it such a relaxed~ intimate birthing experience! Love my doctor and midwife!
The only issue I had was getting the appointment set. I was told to call 3 months ahead. I called in October and I was told to call in December for a January Annual Visit. I called x3 in December. First time I waited 12 minutes and didn't leave a message determining to call back later. 2nd time I did leave a message with no return call. The third time I decided to wait...the recording continued to loop and I was in that loop for 27 minutes before I got a real person. Everything else about staff and care was awesome and I would give 25 stars if possible.
I absolutely love Dr. Duncan. As a mother of 6~ all of which were born at Reid~ I rate him at the very top of the list. His down to earth yet professional demeanor is wonderful. I also love how he never acts like he's in rush. He is genuinely concerned with my concerns~ gives honest feedback and admits when an issue isn't in his area of specialty. I recommend Dr. Duncan to all of my family/friends.
First time meeting him and he made a great impression. I like him.
I will give a lengthy background to better explain my situation and reasoning for scoring this survey positively. He took the time to answer my questions. I have had a long string of physicians who's bedside manner was rather inadequate~ so this is a pleasant change. Doctors often do not care for my personality~ due to social anxiety from PTSD and often take me as a hypochondriac~ because I research my DIAGNOSED medical issues. This is due to the shortcomings of previous doctors and the fact that I attended nursing school. Due to PCOS my pain often moves around my pelvis. This Dr did make a statement about my pain moving~ which I believe to be related to the massive amount of questions I asked and the fact that I am honest about having social anxiety and about researching my diagnosis. Long story short he handled the situation better than any previous doctor. He should be training other doctors to handle situations like this.
