Prospective Student Tour
As part of the application process we require each applicant to schedule a time to tour the Imaging Department guided by a current student. This gives the applicant an opportunity to ask questions and gain information from a student's prospective of the program. These tours are scheduled Monday through Friday beginning at 8 a.m. You should allow approximately 90 minutes for the entire experience.
There are a few guidelines for the tour:
Appropriate dress - We ask since you will be in a professional area to dress appropriately, no jeans, shorts, low-cut tops, or shirts that show the midriff. Khaki pants in good order are appropriate, as well as dress pants. Anyone not dressed appropriately may be asked to reschedule.
Confidentiality form - You will be asked to read and sign a confidentiality form, as you will be observing patient exams. What you see here, stays here.
Video - You will be watching a short video about hospital programs and the field of radiography in general. This will give you an opportunity to be more informed and possibly ask questions on the tour that would be beneficial to you.
The tour - You will be given a tour of the facility by one of our current students. After the tour the clinical coordinator/instructor will be able to answer any other questions you may have. You will be able to turn in your application and transcripts at this time also, if you haven't done so.
