I love JoAnn and have always gotten excellent care from her and Dr Flaugher.
I am very pleased with Jo Ann~ she makes make feel like a person instead of just a "patient". She listens to all of my concerns and takes her time with me. I am also happy with the nurse who handled me and the reception area who acted promptly as soon as there was a cancellation and was able to get me in the same day I called.
JoAnn is a wonderful addition to your staff. She is caring~ understanding~ and funny which puts people at ease. She has always treated me with respect and kindness and always answered any questions I had. I am sad to no longer be attended by her.
I have been satisfied with my treatment from Richmond Rheumatology over the years~ but am not very happy to learn that suddenly the plan is to boot me from their treatment back to a general family health provider who will likely not treat my pain issues properly. I was originally referred to Richmond Rheumatology by my former family practice doctor who was not successful in treating my pain - so I worry for the quality of my future due to what I expect will be a significant rise in pain filled days that keep me in bed and/ or less able to do the things I want or need to do in every day life.
I was referred to my family doctor for my rheumatoid problems. I feel that this could have been done without an office visit. I could have received a call explaining the situation instead of charging myself and my insurance for this visit.
My appointment was at 2:30 the provider did not walk in my room until 4 PM. Every time I have seen this provider she is running an hour and a half behind. At one point in time the medical assistant explained the delay and told me should be in in 20 minutes it was 45 minutes . My appointment was originally scheduled for September. I received a phone call saying it had to be rescheduled and it was two months before I got in . I am a healthcare professional and currently work and a very busy physicians office . The length of time that I spend at Reid Rhuematology for a route visit without complications is unacceptable. I know the door to Dr. time in the ER is closely monitored even for non-urgent patients. A definite improvement needs to be made in door to doctor time with physician visits as well.
In my discussion with NP we agreed to a new medication for my Psoriasis & Psoriatic Arthritis. Also I had an upcoming surgery which the NP said she didn't want me to start the new medication until I had fully healed. Then I got a call from a pharmacy for a different medication than what we had talked about and they were ready to send it to me even though I am not fully healed yet. There was a huge disconnect between what we talked about and what actually happened. I called on 10/23 concerning this disconnect and I am still waiting on a call back to see if the medication has been changed and were we stand and it is now 10/25
I didn't really feel like I got a lot of help at this visit. We didn't discuss the labs that I had prior to the visit . She didn't do any exam and listen to my heart and longs. She told me that she had to release me back to my family doctor. So even though I was in her office and I am having lots of issues~ She said~ I needed to find a new stomach dr. and to talk to my family do... I just felt the appointment was a waste of my time over there. Because I got now answers.
JoAnnBond is excellent and I trust her to be my provider in the absence of a Rheumatologist. She is professional and friendly.
I loved seeing JoAnn Bond! That is the ONLY PROVIDER I am willing to see! She does her job with CARE! Don't see that much anymore with ALL the NEW RULES REID HEALTH has now!
JoAnn Bond is the greatest! Her personality is upbeat and easy and you can tell she is sincere in her concern for you.
Wait time was drastically decreased from previous visit which is great!
My quality of care has diminished since losing Dr. Flaugher. My appointment was scheduled for 3:00pm. I did not see the nurse practitioner until 4:30pm. My round trip drive is 3 hours~ so I was pretty frustrated. On a positive note~ the concierge service and wheelchair assistance helps me with my limited mobility.
Joann is wonderful! I miss Candice very much~ but I am very pleased with the care and concern that Joann shows me. she has a great bedside manner and other than the drive into Richmond I love coming to see her.
The only thing I think that needs to change is the amount of time it takes to get put on the nurses schedule. Like for a steroid injection for a flare up. When Dr Flaugher was there she would bring you in the day you called. Waiting a week is too long when you can't walk due to the pain.
I wish that tests were obtained before appt. so that results were known. I have had to wait and then been told on several appts. that they couldn't find them.
Very satisfied at this time. Thank you very much for your help.
Richmond rheumatology is great~ love the staff and the level of care.
I understand having to wait 2 pr 3 weeks for an appointment but having to wait 3 months is a to long. I also understand the recent death is also a factor in the length of time it takes to get an appointment. However there needs to be a procedure in place for urgent appointments as most primary care providers will not address these issues. The average time I have waited in the office to see someone has been 1 to 2 hours every appointment I have had. This is way to long to have to wait.
I tried to be understanding considering the loss of Dr Flaugher~ but no one called me to reschedule my appt~ I called to check on my previously scheduled routine appt & had to take a much later date. Then~ the wait time was explained to me by the receptionist at check in~ but after rescheduling & driving 45 min I wasn't going to reschedule again! The MA was very nice but explained there was a new records system & we had quite a bit of confusion correcting my meds list. NP I saw was very good but couldn't answer my past test result questions that were done months ago at the hospital ordered by her~ she said she would have the office staff mail me results. I was there so late the office staff was gone so I couldn't schedule next routing appointment & she said the office staff would call me tomorrow~ It was two days later before someone called to schedule & then I when I asked about the previous test results done at the hospital months ago she couldn't answer. A nurse called the next day
Dr Wegg needs to schedule his meetings with Bond .Making patients wait for Dr Weggs meeting with Bond is unacceptable .3 hours I was waiting . RIDICULOUS. THAT IS UNPROFESSIONAL
She did not even examine me~ she talked about my fingernails and how pretty they where. Did not address any of my questions.
