Emily Munson earned her bachelor's degree in nursing at Indiana University East in Richmond and her master's degree from Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Kentucky. She's a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
"As a junior in high school, a close family member required an emergency procedure for congestive heart failure. The compassion of the staff - combined with their expertise and delicate clinical skills - left a lasting impression on me and sparked my interest in healthcare.
"The most important thing patients should know about me is that I care deeply, will truly listen, and will provide judgment-free care while creating a safe space where you feel heard and supported. I understand how vulnerable seeking care can be, and I'm here to support you every step of the way.
"I've spent many years in healthcare, but I believe laughter can be just as healing as medicine. I like to bring science, experience, and a sense of humor into my work.
"When I'm not working, I enjoy cooking, gardening, hiking, and swimming."
