Dallas Holmes has lived
and worked in the Connersville area her entire life. She earned her bachelor's
and master's degrees in social work from Indiana University East in Richmond
and has taught classes there as an adjunct professor.
"I first knew I wanted
to go into social work when I recognized my strong desire to help people. I
understand the challenges and the rewards of residing in a small town.
"I've worked with
nursing home residents, individuals diagnosed with intellectual disabilities,
families and individuals in hospice care, patient care in a hospital, those
suffering from addiction, and children, adults, and families who are in crisis.
"When I'm not working, I
love to spend time with my family, especially watching my grandchildren be
involved in various school activities and sports. I also enjoy attending
community events and antiquing."
