"I first knew I wanted to go into medicine when I was a child. I always wanted to help people - especially when they were sick - but I knew psychiatry was for me during my first psychiatry clinical in undergraduate nursing school.
"I enjoy helping others and being there to see them improve their health and well-being. I strive to be compassionate and show empathy with my patients. I like that healthcare is a science but also an art.
"When I'm not working, I like to spend time with my family and friends and relaxing. I also love going out to eat at different restaurants. I enjoy dancing, reading, swimming, and the arts, and I play the alto saxophone."
