Brittanni Elliott earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah, and her master's degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.
"I can't single out a defining moment that led me to nursing as it was a cumulation of many moments. I do, however, vividly remember the moment I knew I'd chosen the right path for my future. When my grandfather received his cancer diagnosis, he reminded me of how proud he was of me and wanted me to help others with the same care and kindness I was honored to offer him during his last days with us.
"I truly believe I was led to work in mental health because I didn't allow my past to define me. I have my own past traumas that I've worked through, and I understand how difficult it can be to break the cycle.
"When I'm not working, I enjoy cooking, fishing, hiking, and the arts."
