"I was inspired to join the medical field by my grandmother. I wanted to follow in her footsteps, and I've worked in medicine since I was 16 years old.
"I've spent most of my career in emergency medicine. I always thought I'd work in trauma or continue in what I was doing, but I noticed the need for mental health care providers to advocate for their patients and I felt a strong pull toward the field. I think my emergency medicine experience helps me to connect with my patients in surprising ways.
"I believe listening first is the key to good care. Your story is one of the most important parts of your care. My focus is working together with my patients and allowing them to have a voice in their health journey.
"When I'm not working, I enjoy cooking, gardening, and hiking."
