Introduction

Rick Beck earned his bachelor's degree in social work from Bluffton University in Bluffton, Ohio, and his master's degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He's a member of the National Association of Social Workers and is a licensed massage therapist.

Rick began his career in social work in 1972 at a state hospital and has experience in programs for children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. He has postgraduate training in Gestalt and EMDR (eye movement, desensitization, and reprocessing) therapies.

"I became an LCSW because it enables me to provide services to individuals not allowed by lesser licenses. I encourage people to manage their lifestyle to enhance and promote health and wellness in general.

"When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, playing the banjo, and running. I also teach tai chi."
