Kayla Nobbe grew up on a dairy
farm and lives on a beef cattle and grain farm with her husband and two sons.
She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing at Purdue University in West
Lafayette, Indiana, and her master's degree from the University of Indianapolis
in Indianapolis.
"I first knew I wanted to go into
medicine after my first non-farming job at a nursing home facility as a
certified nursing assistant. I felt I was making a difference in the residents'
lives and knew I wanted to go on to get my nursing degree so I could be more
involved in their care.
"The most important thing
patients should know about me is I always try my best to treat my patients with
respect and as I would treat my own family. It's very satisfying to help people
in their time of need and be someone they can trust.
"When I'm not working, I'm
spending time with my family, mostly on our farm, which we love. When we're not
on the farm, my family and I enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, hiking,
running, swimming, basketball, and soccer."
