Dr. Pitchford earned her
bachelor's and doctorate degrees from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
She's a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the American
Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
"I first knew I wanted to go into medicine when I was in high
school. My mom used sign language when I was little, and I was always
interested in learning it. She worked in the New Castle school system with
students who were deaf and hard of hearing. I wanted to work within the same
area, so I looked for potential careers and found audiology.
"The most important thing patients should know about me is I'm
kind and honest. I try to be as open with my patients as I can be about what
they can expect with their hearing and their hearing aids. I love being able to
help people hear their loved ones again.
"When I'm not working, I enjoy going camping, canoeing, hiking,
swimming, biking, and reading. I'm a fan of music as well.
