"My grandmother worked as a nurse for more than 40 years, and the compassionate care she provided for patients inspired me to pursue a career in healthcare.

"When I was a teenager, I worked as an activity assistant in a long-term care facility. I was able to see how the nurses interacted with the patient and families and how they made a difference in people's lives.

"In my free time, I enjoy many outdoor activities including hiking and cycling with my family. I also enjoy reading and the arts."
