Introduction

A graduate of Connersville High School, Heather Jarboe earned her bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana, and her master's degree from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. She's certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

"I can't describe it, but from the first experience I had shadowing a nurse as a high school student, I felt at home within the healthcare environment. I feel most like myself when I'm caring for, educating, and treating patients.

"I see a person as a whole: body, mind, and spirit. Patients are part of their healthcare team. We'll work together on health maintenance, disease prevention, treatments, and their individual priorities.

"My favorite part about working in healthcare will forever be the connections made through learning from patients and their families. They're a result of laughs and tears that have come from shared pictures, history lessons, jokes, advice, recipes, and stories of love, loss, and everything in between. I hope to never stop adding to and learning from connections to my patients and their loved ones.

"When I'm not working, I enjoy camping, cooking, dancing, hiking, reading, side-by-side riding, and listening to podcasts and audiobooks."

The experience was a good one. My only problem is with transportation since I can not drive anymore. Having to ask/rely on family is not the best.

First visit with Heather and was very impressed she went over everything made some suggestions that I agreed with . She knows what she's doing and was comfortable with her. I was sceptial when I found out she was replacing Stephine I have watched her grow into a beautiful young lady
