"My grandfather inspired me to go into medicine. He served as a combat medic specialist for the U.S. Army 78th Infantry Division during World War II. From a young age, I always wanted to follow in his footsteps and care for people who are injured. I confirmed my life goal was to become a surgeon during my sophomore year of high school and never looked back.
"Above all, I love getting people back to what they're passionate about. I take immense pride in my medical and surgical training and believe I learned from the most technically skilled and clinically thoughtful mentors in the country. It's an honor to carry forward their legacy while taking care of people in our community.
"I'm an avid national parks enthusiast and love traveling to the parks with my wife and family. We aspire to visit all 63 national parks. My wife and I adopted a dog (a Labrador-Husky mix) from a rescue shelter and named him Zion after the national park.
