Short-term position turns into long-term career for May Ambassador

Amber Hunt, ENT
May 5, 2025 -- Amber Hunt's first job
at Reid Health was as seasonal help at the Gingko Boutique. Nearly nine years
later, she's still here, thriving in her role as the secretary at Reid ENT.
"I came to Reid because I wanted to get away from working
nights and weekends," Hunt said. "What's kept me here is the flexibility and
the opportunity to grow.
"I feel valued, respected, and supported here."
Hunt has worked her way from that three-month stint at the
Gingko Boutique to five years at Reid Allergy in different roles and now three
years and counting at Reid ENT. Throughout that time, the Ambassador for the
month of May has earned the respect of her co-workers.
"Amber consistently puts in the hours and effort needed to
complete any task, never cutting corners, and always striving to improve both
herself and our office," one person said. "Whether it's a colleague, friend, or
stranger, Amber consistently shows she cares about people's well-being and
makes an effort to listen with an open heart."
"She throws herself into any challenge she can to benefit
the office flow and function, and she's also part of the morale committee,"
another co-worker said. "Amber does all this as a mother of two and makes it
seem effortless!"
Originally from Fort Meyers, Florida, Hunt moved to
Cambridge City in early elementary school and still lives there today with her
husband, Tucker, and their two children -- Jaxyn and Raylyn.
When she's not working, Hunt enjoys watching her children
doing whatever extracurriculars that are currently in-season. She also loves
tacos, concerts, and live sporting events. Just don't ask her to watch a scary
movie with you.
"I haven't watched one since high school. Anything scary or
haunted is not for me," she said.
Hunt finds satisfaction in helping co-workers through the
daily ins and outs of office life.
"I'm driven by the fact I can contribute to meaningful work that makes a difference in people's lives," she said. "My sense of purpose at work comes from knowing my value within my practice and what I contribute to our team."
