September Ambassador driven ‘to become a better version of myself from yesterday’

Heather Daugherty, Clinical Practice Manager, RHPA Administration
Sept. 8, 2025 -- September
is a big month for Heather Daugherty.
It's the start of her favorite season. ("I love all things Halloween and fall -- from pumpkins to scary movies.")
It's the anniversary of when she began working at Reid Health as a nurse. ("I started the Monday after they moved to the new campus in 2008.")
And now it's the month in which she was named Reid's latest
Ambassador.
Daugherty has spent the past seven years as a Clinical
Practice Manager for Reid Health Physician Associates (RHPA) Administration.
It's a role that allows her to work with other departments "to achieve goals or
implement change to better serve our staff and patients."
"Within my department, work wouldn't be the same without my
wonderful team and being there to support them as they achieve their personal
and professional goals," Daugherty said.
"It's impressive how fast the organization pulls together
in a time of celebration and in times of tragedy. Whether it be a loss of an
employee, a professional celebration, or community-related event that impacts
many, our Reid team comes together as a family. We're friends, neighbors, old
classmates, etc. that come together for each other and the community."
Daugherty's co-workers praise her impact on the
organization.
"In every interaction, Heather embodies Reid's core values,
and her influence extends beyond her staff to the heart of patient care. This
makes her not just a leader, but a true ambassador for our mission," one person
said.
"She brings a 'can-do' attitude to every interaction, is
highly responsive, and always eager to help," another co-worker said. "Her
ability to look at challenges from multiple perspectives and offer thoughtful,
strategic input makes her a true partner."

Originally from New Madison, Ohio, Daugherty now lives in
New Paris with her husband, Corby. She has three children -- Elle, Grayson, and
Holden.
"My life outside of work revolves around my kids, whether
it be sports or making memories doing what they love," she said. "I also enjoy
date nights with my husband finding new 'mom and pop' restaurants."
Daugherty strives "to become a better version of myself
from yesterday. Whether that be a better wife, mother, manager, peer, or
friend."
"Transitioning from bedside nursing to ambulatory education
was a huge shift," she said. "Patient care 'filled my cup' and will always be at
the heart of why I chose nursing.
"I'm very thankful to have been chosen for Ambassador. It's humbling to know I've made an impact on someone to consider me for this nomination."
