Outpatient Behavioral Health, Pediatric & Internal Medicine named RHPA Practices of the Year
March 28, 2023 -- Reid Health
Physicians Associates (RHPA) honored its Practices of the Year during a
celebration dinner recently at Forest Hills Country Club in Richmond.
Outpatient
Behavioral Health and Pediatric & Internal Medicine were announced as the
winners in the specialty care and primary care categories, respectively. It was
the second year in a row for Pediatric & Internal Medicine to come away with
the primary care award.
Introduced last
year, RHPA's Practices of the Year honors are based on how well practices do
in three key areas: quality, patient experience, and financial performance.
Since quality data wasn't available for all specialty care practices this year,
that category was considered only for primary care.
"These awards
celebrate the achievements of our providers and staff, who have made
significant contributions to both of our winning practices," said Rohit Bawa,
MD, Chair of the RHPA Network Operations Council.
"The event is a
testament to their hard work and dedication. It is an opportunity to recognize
and honor their achievements and thank them for their unwavering commitment to
advancing patient care."
Pediatric &
Internal Medicine was the highest scoring primary care practice overall, also
coming out on top for quality. For the second year in a row, Reid Health
Primary & Specialty Care - Hagerstown ranked highest for patient
experience. Reid Health Primary & Specialty Care - Cambridge City had top
marks for financial performance.
"It's an honor
to have been selected for a second year in a row for RHPA Primary Care Practice
of the Year," said Martin Munoz, MD. "We will continue to strive for excellence
in providing the best care to our patient population."
"Pediatric & Internal Medicine is a practice made up of
a team dedicated to the patients they serve, always striving to do the best
they can for their patients and each other," said Billie Kester, Vice President
for Continuum of Care at Reid Health.
Outpatient
Behavioral Health led the way for specialty care practices overall and for
patient experience while Reid Allergy was the top performer for financial
performance.
"This award shows
the incredible effort and dedication of our team in making a difference in the
lives of our patients," said Oladele Oladapo, MD. "We are truly grateful to the
Reid organization and its leadership."
"Outpatient
Behavioral Health's Richmond and Connersville teams are nothing short of
exceptional," said Misti Foust-Cofield, Vice President/Chief Nursing Officer
for Reid Health. "They go above and beyond to serve their patients and each
other in an energetic and passionate way."
In its 13
years, RHPA has grown to include more than 50 primary and specialty care
practices across Reid's eight-county service area with some 260 providers and
more than 900 total employees.
"RHPA continues
to grow, all the while providing high-quality care to all our patients and fulfilling
Reid Health's mission: To lead our communities to well-being, one person at a
time," Dr. Bawa said.
