Gift giving made easy

Not sure which giving option is best for you?

Our Foundation team is happy to answer your questions and work with you and your trusted advisors to identify the giving strategy that best reflects your goals.

Ways to give

Outright gift

An outright gift is an immediate contribution of money or property to Reid Health Foundation and is one of the easiest ways to make an impact.

Common examples include:

  • Cash gifts
  • Publicly traded securities
  • Real estate
  • Personal property

Outright gifts may qualify for named-space recognition.

Ways to give

Irrevocable Deferred Gift

Irrevocable Deferred Gifts provide long-term support through legally binding charitable commitments that can't be changed once established.

Examples include:

  • Irrevocable testamentary pledges
  • Charitable gift annuities
  • Charitable remainder trusts
  • Wholly owned life insurance policies naming Reid Health Foundation as owner and beneficiary

Irrevocable Deferred Gifts may qualify for named-space recognition based on their net present value at the time the gift is established.

Ways to give

Revocable Deferred Gift

Revocable Deferred Gifts are future charitable commitments that are realized after the donor's lifetime or after a specified period of time.

Common examples include:

  • Bequests through a will or trust
  • Life insurance beneficiary designations
  • Retirement plan or brokerage account beneficiary designations

Revocable Deferred Gifts provide lasting support for future generations while allowing donors to incorporate philanthropy into their estate planning.

Named-space recognition is considered once a deferred gift is realized.

Ways to give

Pledged gift

A pledged gift allows you to fulfill your charitable commitment over time rather than through a single payment.

Most pledges are completed through annual payments over three to five years, providing flexibility while making a significant impact.

Pledged gifts may qualify for named-space recognition.

Ways to give

Declarations

When considering a charitable gift, Reid Health Foundation encourages you to consult with trusted advisors, including your attorney, accountant, or financial planner.

All gifts must comply with the Reid Health Foundation’s Gift Acceptance Policy, which is available upon request.

Endowed Fund Matching: Multiply the impact of your gift

Reid Health Foundation's Endowed Fund Matching Program provides an exciting opportunity for qualifying endowed gifts to have an even greater impact.

Eligible new endowed funds of $50,000 or more may qualify for Foundation matching, helping create additional long-term support for the programs and services that matter most to you.

Program highlights include:

  • Available for qualifying new endowed funds of $50,000 or more
  • Available to individuals and corporations
  • Matching begins once the gift becomes irrevocable or is fully funded
  • Program available through December 31, 2029
  • Subject to Foundation guidelines and available matching funds

Because every donor's goals are unique, we encourage you to contact the Reid Health Foundation to discuss eligibility, matching opportunities, and the application process.
