‘Living in Full Bloom’ celebrates cancer survivors, families, and community

Join Reid Health for “Living in Full Bloom,” a special Cancer Survivor Day celebration honoring the strength, resilience, and journeys of cancer survivors, caregivers, and families.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 5 in the parking lot behind the Reid Health Cancer Center, 1100 Reid Pkwy., Richmond.
Held in recognition of National Cancer Survivors Day, Reid hosts this annual celebration each June, bringing together more than 250 cancer survivors for an event centered on resilience, strength, and connection with others who share similar journeys.
The event is an opportunity for survivors, caregivers, families, and supporters to come together and celebrate milestones. It honors survivors, inspires those newly diagnosed, and brings the community together in support, hope, and shared experience.
The event will include:
- Live music by the Caitlin Davis Band
- Picnic-style food
- Crafts
- A photo booth
- Swag and giveaways while supplies last
The event is supported through the Reid Foundation Cancer Care Fund fund, which helps provide cancer care and prevention initiatives, equipment needs, and supportive programming for individuals and families affected by cancer.
Each year, the Reid Health Foundation plans Kaleidoscope with celebration, support, and compassionate care in mind for individuals on a cancer journey. Funds raised through Kaleidoscope help support the Cancer Care Fund, including programs and events such as Cancer Survivors Day, bringing together hundreds of community members to celebrate strength, resilience, and hope.
“Living in Full Bloom” is designed to create a meaningful day of connection, encouragement, and celebration for everyone impacted by cancer, while reminding survivors and families they’re surrounded by a community of support.
Cancer survivors, caregivers, families, supporters, team members, and community members are encouraged to attend.
