‘Dementia Friends’ topic for Connersville wellness event
The December Wellness
Wednesday will provide information about how to make a community a safer, more
welcoming place for those living with dementia and their caregivers.
Amanda Corman,
Admissions Director for Leland Legacy in Richmond, will share details of this
program aimed at increasing awareness and support to make a positive difference
in the lives of people living with dementia."Dementia Friends Indiana" is an outreach of Dementia Friendly America.
The initiative seeks to educate communities about dementia and break down
stigma associated with the condition.
Wellness Wednesday is
the first Wednesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at the Fayette Senior Center, 477 N. Grand
